    Paul Therrien, BA, M.Ed., CHRP

    Vice President of Labour Relations & Human Resources Consulting

    Paul is a Certified Human Resource Professional with the Human Resource Management Association of Manitoba and holds a Master of Administration in Education, along with a Bachelor of Arts.

    Paul has over 30 year's extensive experience in senior HR roles in health care, aviation and food services fields. With a background in recruitment, labour relations, training and development and performance management, he has hands-on experience in benefits administration, employee communications, management coaching, program design and development and occupational health and safety. He has negotiated some 100 collective agreements across Canada. From strategic planning, vision and mission formulation he has also written policy and procedure manuals, job descriptions, monthly bulletins and employee handbooks. A former teacher at both the high school and university level, he is a dynamic trainer and public speaker always seeking to involve his audience.

    Prior to joining Legacy Bowes Group, Paul was the Chief Human Resources Officer at the Burntwood Regional Health Authority (BRHA)for 7 years. In his tenure with BRHA, Paul provided leadership and direction to the Region in regards to all HR activities including recruitment and retention, labour relations, employee benefits, physician remuneration, workplace health & safety, aboriginal workforce strategy, organizational development and change management. Paul was also a member of the Senior Executive Council.

    He is past president of the Manitoba Society for Training & Development, past president of the Human Resources Management Association of Manitoba and former Director of the Canadian Council of Human Resources Associations.

    As Vice President of Labour Relations & Human Resources Consulting with Legacy Bowes Group, Paul brings over 30 years of senior leadership expertise covering all aspects of Human Resources management with particular emphasis on labour and employee relations.
