Organizational Change
The challenge:
Our client, a large government department with a new Minister and Deputy Minister, wished to review the current status of how they were doing things and to restructure in order to improve service.
Our solution:
Legacy Bowes Group proposed a highly participative process wherein all staff throughout the department could be involved in identifying issues and proposing solutions. While this was a totally new approach and was felt to be highly risky, the decision was made to move ahead. Over 600+ participants were involved. As progress was being made, all information was made available on the department intranet. When the diagnostic information was complete, we next worked with senior and executive management teams and facilitated discussions regarding a total restructure of the department. This resulted in a new organizational structure that was implemented without incident and without any grievances or loss of staff.
