Winnipeg Technical College is a unique educational, interdivisional institution dedicated to providing quality career focused and market based technical education to both secondary and post secondary learners. Initially designed to meet the specific and practical job training requirements for south Winnipeg residents, the college program and course offerings have grown to not only meet the needs of over 2,000 full time, part time students but also meet the needs for customized technical training for local business clients.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President and CEO is an innovative educational leader, and is an individual who can act as the public face of the College to develop, maintain and expand effective relationships and linkages with political and educational stakeholders as well as the residential and business communities. As a visionary leader, the successful candidate will be creative and innovative with respect to discovering and exploiting opportunities and synergies. The President/CEO will oversee a highly qualified senior administrative team who will take the ideas to fruition and manage the day to day operations.

As the ideal candidate, you have experienced success using a learner centered approach in a vocational education setting, complimented by practical experience in industry. Your leadership style is participatory, and you have the ability to stay in tune with the inner workings of the organization at ground level without losing focus on the strategic vision. You are known for your ability to coach and mentor others to achieve excellence in a diverse, ever-changing workplace. An exceptional communicator, you can relate well with others at all levels both inside and outside the organization both orally and in writing. Experience with board governance coupled with a high level of business acumen will be required.
