Post-secondary education in a related discipline
Exceptional leadership skills and ability, with a proven track record of accomplishment in senior level management in a technically oriented post-secondary educational system, complemented by practical experience in industry
Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching and learning processes at the secondary and at the post-secondary level as well as knowledge of curriculum design and technical program implementation
Proven ability to build and motivate effective teams and to work with them to establish and achieve the goals of the College's Strategic Plan
Extensive knowledge of technical, vocational, and trades training including knowledge of the Apprenticeship system, combined with the drive to foster and encourage educational excellence and innovation
Exceptional communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
Demonstrated consultative and collaborative management style, decisive executive skills, and the ability to motivate others
Strong knowledge of the public school system, and the post-secondary education (college) system
Capacity to market the achievements of the College and demonstrate to government, business/industry, stakeholders, and to the public the College's importance as a key partner in the economic, social, environmental and educational vibrancy of the community
